TWIST Dress — Blossom

Stretch silk from the mills of Lake Como, cut in an asymmetric silhouette drawn from the tailoring traditions of Nigeria — one side cropped, the other falling long, the diagonal a deliberate act rather than an accident of drape. The fabric gathers naturally upon itself, following every curve without instruction. The print — "Blossom" — a garden caught at its peak: peonies, hibiscus and wild blooms in pink, coral and burnt orange, painted with the looseness of a brushstroke on a pale ground. Both shoulders bare, or one held and one released: the same dress, two entirely different women. A cut with a continent behind it.
